The brainwave version of Auric Fields features the same compositions as the non-BWE record but with the addition of brainwave entrainment.

Our intention with both Auric Fields records was to create a soundscape that will clear and strengthen the aura of the listener, creating a safe energetic container for deeper healing to occur. We set out to make a sound healing album that people would want to listen to repeatedly, a record that you can enjoy with good headphones or play through speakers as ambient background music.

Schumann and Solfeggio Frequencies


The Schumann frequency has been called “a tuning fork for life." Entraining the brain to this frequency puts one in a state of harmony with Mother Earth and Nature. It has also been observed to occur in the brains of meditating Buddhist monks.

The brainwave entrainment frequencies on these tracks start at the waking (Beta) level of mind and gradually drop to 7.83 Hz (deep Alpha brainwave state) before rising at the end of the track. The frequency of 7.83 Hz is the center frequency of the Schumann resonance, the rate of vibration of the standing electromagnetic waves in the Earth’s atmosphere. 


I have been creating brainwave entrainment tracks centered on the Schumann resonance frequency for many years and I find they entrain the mind into pleasurable states of relaxation and have a rejuvenating effect on the mind, body and emotions.


Because the brainwave entrainment (BWE) on this track uses isochronic tones, you can enjoy it with or without headphones.

IMPORTANT: Please do NOT listen to this track while driving, using knives or other dangerous tools, or doing anything that requires a normal level of waking alertness. This music is extremely relaxing, especially when listening with earbuds or headphones.


528 Hz Solfeggio Frequency

The chimes and vocal tones on this record center on the ancient solfeggio tone of 528 Hz. Often called the "miracle frequency," 528 Hz has been extensively studied by both scientists and mystics. Chlorophyll vibrates at this frequency, bees pollinating flowers buzz at or near this frequency, and it is the frequency of light and color at the center of the rainbow. Scientific studies have shown that this tone assists in - and perhaps directly facilitates - DNA healing and repair. It was famously used to purify water in the Gulf of Mexico by John and Nancy Hutchison in 2010 after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

The vocal toning on all three tracks was done in a meditative state while visualizing my desired outcomes for the listener, specifically that the healing frequencies in the music help you to repair any damage to your aura caused by EMFs, heavy metals, trauma, noise pollution, and environmental toxins. And that they empower you to strengthen your aura so that any negative frequencies or energies encountered in the future are reflected by your aura or transformed into neutral or positive energies. 


174 Hz Solfeggio Frequency

The "carrier tone" for the Schumann brainwave frequency on this record is 174 Hz, the solfeggio frequency associated with pain reduction, deep relaxation, and physical healing.

Musical Notes

Partly driven by our desire to create a sound healing record that people would want to listen to repeatedly, we included some generative music elements on the album. Both the syncopated string-and-pipe instrument (track 1) and the ethereal pad (tracks 1 and 3) were constructed with semi-random generators constrained to a 444 Hz center frequency that is harmonic with the 528 Hz solfeggio frequency. The soft percussion hits on tracks 1 and 3 are also randomly generated.

Almost all, if not all of the nature sounds on the record have a special resonance for us. I recorded the creek on Arcadian Rhythms at my friend Lisa's house in Vermont. I recorded almost all of the bird calls on Tracks 1 & 3 either in my backyard or on my daily walks. (The birds are my friends and I can vouch for the healing qualities of their singing!)
 We recorded the frogs and crickets in North Carolina and Tennessee. The gong on Arcadian Rhythms is a Thermos gently struck with a mallet, pitch-shifted and time-stretched and run through a couple delays. The "night wind" sound on Arcadian Rhythms is our dog Kobi's rhythmic breathing as he sleeps, run through a Frohmage filter and some other effects.

All that to say, I really wanted to make a record where I was in love with all of the sounds because we truly believe that real sound healing comes from a combination of frequency and intention.

As you're listening, you might visualize your aura filled with the yellow-green light at the center of a rainbow, a soft field of light protected by a lattice of tiny, sparkling crystals that reflect back any unhealthy or unwanted energies.

The 528 Hz "DNA repair frequency" is incredibly powerful for healing, so you might also listen with the intention of healing trauma, rejuvenating your mental, physical, and emotional bodies, and dissolving energetic blockages.
